Review by hotel critic
As a wildlife conservationist from Nairobi, I recently took my family to the Central for a short vacation, and we had a lovely experience. Nestled in the heart of Kelso, we found its location ideal for our short stays, with plenty of dining options close by, including bakeries for fresh bread that pleased our little one. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which allowed us to prepare some meals together, a fun family activity in itself. The room was spacious, accommodating our family of three comfortably, with a cozy bed for restful nights after our adventures in town. Our four-year-old particularly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the short walks to local parks. Although the entrance involves a tight staircase, we found it manageable, and the nearby pub added some local flavor to our evenings while keeping our son entertained. Although there were minor noise disruptions in the evenings, it was expected in a town center, and it didn't detract from our stay. The Central suits families seeking a homey base to explore the area, with essential amenities making it easy to relax and enjoy time together. We'd consider returning for another family getaway.
